Mike Ellis, your UCP candidate for Calgary-West
Mike has dedicated his life to protecting and serving Alberta families, first as a police officer with the Calgary Police Service, and later as an MLA where he currently represents Calgary-West in the Legislature.
During his 12-year career as a police officer, Mike was awarded the CPS Distinguished Service Award and the Senior Policing Administration Certificate. Mike’s focus as a police officer was on community policing to ensure that Calgary is a safe place to live, raise a family, work, and visit. And as a result of his work with some of Calgary’s most vulnerable citizens, he was appointed to the Alberta Secretariat for Action on Homelessness.
As an MLA elected in 2014, Mike has diligently advocated for his constituents by fighting for Alberta’s oil and gas sector and against the NDP’s out of touch regulations, red tape, and taxes that are pushing investment and jobs out of Calgary and squeezing families.
With a lifetime of service experience, Mike is determined to continue helping Jason Kenney and the UCP team bring back the Alberta Advantage, starting right at home in Calgary-West.
